Her disappearance wasn’t acknowledeged, but it turned out that she was kidnapped by an alien named Zanthar, who was also responsible for the disappearance of Todd and Travis earlier.

Over the course of the Halo games I have never seen Master Chief show any sign of emotion. He never got excited in battle and he doesnt get depressed with everyone dyin around him. He might as well be a robot.
Why does Master Chief have no emotions?
The Master Chief has learned to conceal his feeling, so they don’t get in the way of the mission. If you read the books, you see how his feeling are always coming up wanting to save so and so, being sorry for so and so’s pain or death. He just pushes on and deals with his pain and grief later.
