Where do Skyliners synchro practice?
While the majority of the skaters reside in the tri-state area, we also have skaters from Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. Skyliners train at various rinks throughout the tri-state region.

Is synchronized ice skating in the Olympics?
While synchro won’t be in the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, there is still a chance it will appear in the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

What are the levels of synchronized skating?

How many people can be on a figure skating team?
There are 30 participants in each singles events (ladies and men), 20 pairs, and 24 ice dance duos.
How old are novic skaters?
U.S. Figure Skating requires Novice athletes to be under age 16 (up to four may be 16 or 17) and have passed the intermediate moves in the field test. To prepare a strong team, Hayden Synchro prefers Star Mates athletes have passed the novice moves, pre-silver dance, and pre-juvenile free skate tests.
How many synchronized skating teams are there?
Today, there are about 600 registered synchronized teams in the United States. Teams of eight to 20 skaters perform challenging formations and step sequences together, and competitions use the same judging system as singles, pairs and ice dance.
How many figure skaters go to Olympics?

A total of 144 quota spots are available to athletes to compete at the games. There will be 30 skaters in the disciplines of men’s and women’s singles, 19 pair skating teams, and 23 ice dance teams. Additionally, ten nations qualify for the team event.
