Is Waterton National Park worth visiting?
There are many incredible National Parks in Canada like Banff, Jasper, and Yoho, but in my opinion, Waterton is one of the best places to go in Canada, simply because it is still so unspoiled by overtourism, and has some of the best lakes in Canada.

On hot summer days, people swim in Upper Waterton Lake. The beach near the Townsite campground is also used but tends to be windier. The Marquis Hole picnic site along the Waterton River is also a popular spot for swimming.
How many days do you need in Waterton?
I definitely could have used more time to relax and hike some of the surrounding peaks, but two nights left me with a good taste of what Waterton had to offer. Ideally, I would recommend visitors spend at least three days in the park.

How many days do you need at Waterton National Park?
If you’re not into hiking or golfing, I would say you should allow two to three days to explore the park, depending on how much you want to do. Pat’s of Waterton rents bikes and scooters (the pedal kind, not the motorized kind) by the hour. The scooters are a fun way to spend an hour exploring the town.
