What do Belma hops taste like?
Belma® hops are a recent addition from Hops Direct and Puterbaugh Farms in the Yakima Valley. Belma has been tested as a dual-use hop and found to have an ambrosial mix of orange, melon, strawberry and pineapple with a slight hint of grapefruit.

Use: Mosaic hops cover all three corners of hop usage pretty well. A fact that becomes obvious when you see the amount of single-hopped IPAs being churned out with this variety. It could also be used in the aroma and flavor department backed by a clean bittering hop like Magnum or Galena.

What hops taste like strawberries?
There’s a fairly new hop called “Belma.” It was tested by Dr. Shellhammer at the Ohio State University Agriculture program. A very clean hop, with a very orange, slight grapefruit, tropical pineapple, strawberry, and melon aroma.
