The electric choke does this thing where the butterfly gets cracked open with engine vacuum, iirc, for enough air at cold operation, but not fully vertical for a hot engine’s air need; the Aisan has an equivalent choke breaker that also trips the fast idle. I don’t know if the temp from the engine is operating your electric choke?

WARNING……if by chance the + wire you are using does not have a relay or a fuse/breaker of some sort, and say your little heater coil in the electric choke gets too hot, due to other issues….it could cause the wire you ran to the + side to burn/ignite catch fire, and so on.
