What is WIEGO?
Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global network focused on empowering the working poor, especially women, in the informal economy to secure their livelihoods. We believe that all workers should have equal economic opportunities, rights, protection and voice.
Who are WIEGO’s members?
WIEGO’s members include membership-based organizations of workers in the informal economy, researchers and development professionals. The WIEGO network was founded in 1997 by a group of ten activists, researchers, and development practitioners, following a specialist’s meeting on the informal economy in Bellagio, Italy.
What happened to Walter Waigo Fiorentina?
He began his Fiorentina career in impressive style, with two goals in his first three games, including one in the 3–2 away victory against giants Juventus on 2 March. On 27 January 2009, Waigo signed for Serie B side Lecce on loan until the end of the season. While on loan he played six games but failed to score for the club.

Born in Saint-Louis, Senegal, Waigo began his career at Verona on 3 June 2002, before heading to Serie B outfit Cesena in 2005.
