Frosthold is an Alliance town aligned with the Frostborn in southwestern Storm Peaks, south of the Temple of Storms and northwest of K3, on the same mountain as Stormcrest. It is home to the whole frost dwarf race and their king, Yorg Stormheart. The town is located in and around a large pit of ice.
How do I start the Frosthold quests?
Frosthold
- Head northeast to 40, 62 and kill rhinos until you have 8 fresh rhino meats. At 44, 55 there are rhinos traveling in groups which makes it faster and easier to finish the quest.
- Head to 36, 64 and get the note from the disturbed snow.
- Go into the mine at 42, 70 and turn in the quest there.
How does Horde get to Storm Peaks?
There is a path into Storm Peaks, at the north east of Crystalsong Forest (71,30). You can get into Crystalsong forest from Dragonblight using the northern path located in The Crystal Vice (59,13). Both paths are clearly visible on the map when you get close enough.
How do I get to Orgrimmar from Icecrown?
This has made getting to the continent extremely easy. Once you have made your way to Orgrimmar all you have to do is head to the central zeppelin station and get on the airship that is headed to Northrend. Be careful, however, as if you end up on the wrong zeppelin you will find yourself in Thunder Bluff.

Visit Stormwind or Orgrimmar and go through a portal to Icecrown Citadel. Talk to Bolvar Fordragon and the leaders of Alliance and Horde. Complete the ritual at the Frozen Throne. You will then be teleported to the Maw, located in the Shadowlands.

How do I get to Icecrown?
You can make it to Icecrown by foot at the Northwester corner of Crystalsong Forest. There’s an Argent Crusade quest hub that through quest chains leads you into Icecrown. Once you’re there though, you’ll have a hard time navigating the zone w/o a flying mount. There are no rentals like in Stormpeaks/Sholazar.
