What is null sec?

Nullsec, short for “Null Security Space”, comprises every system in EVE that has a security status at or below 0.0. These are the regions of space where wars between the great alliances and coalitions have been fought, and where the powerful pirate factions make their home.

Are there stations in null sec?

Logistics in nullsec Packaged ships can be carried in jump freighters which jump through systems using cynos as well. These are player-built stations that are limited to one per system and give many of the same services as NPC stations.

While living in nullsec can be very profitable, pilots have to balance earning money with spending it. PvP is a constant concern while living in nullsec, whether its fighting off an occasional red pilot entering the system or answering a call to arms in order to defend or take some space.

If your null-sec home is close to high-sec then it can be a bit easier to get things out there, but even then the connecting gates are often camped with pirates. If your null-sec home is at a more remote location, you may be reliant on people using jump freighters to import things.

What is nullsec space?

Nullsec is very large, and generally very empty. There are different kinds of nullsec space: Wormhole space (W-Space), which has 0.0 security but is not generally referred to as nullsec space. This has no jumpgates and no immediately-updating local chat.

Can UNI members go to nullsec?

There are only a few regions of NPC nullsec, and several of them (Great Wildlands, Curse, Syndicate and Outer Ring) can be accessed by Uni members as they do not require travel through player-owned nullsec. These areas are generally a PvP free-for-all with no political ramifications.
