Despite his great hair Jamie, who was mentored by Simon Cowell, failed to wow the judges or the public and was booted off in week six. After his exit he told The Daily Telegraph that he found the whole X Factor experience ‘really demoralising’. He has gone back to doing smaller, intimate gigs with his band.
