It was not boxy, whatever that is to you, and only very slightly less loud than the 000. Its smaller size translated into better feel and playability for finger style with and the occasional strumming with a pick or without. I have both, a 2004 00-15 and a 2010 000-15 custom cutaway. the 000 is the best playing mid-size martin i have found.
What do you think about the Gibson 000-15m?
I’ve played the 000-15m a good amount and love it. Any comments specifically on the difference in tonal characteristics and volume between these two guitars? I’m afraid the 00-15m will sound thin to me, but not sure. For finger style, blues, country, bluegrass. Moderately hard/energetic strumming, but nothing brutish:)
